Attitude
Attitude is momentum fuel.
Dousing flames with gasoline. Intangible powers unleashed.
Whether arising spontaneously or out of meticulous training, my attitude colors everything. Whether intentional choice or circumstantial mood, it is the difference between trudging along and dancing freely. Raging forest fire or controlled burn. Destructive blaze or warming hearth. Terrifying threat or sustaining passion.
Attitude for this next day of my life. What will I choose?

And doesn't so much of my attitude have to do with recognizing my identity?
I am not king of the world. I'm not even a CEO, mayor, or manager.
Part of keeping a good attitude is recognizing that what God values for me is more important than what I value for myself.
I value fancy vacations to exotic locations where strong women wait to give me shiatzu massages.
But I am thankful for Thursday and Friday this week when I will take a very cheap camping trip with my family. Our big splurge for the trip: a two burner generic camping stove from Walmart.
Understand that keeping a good attitude about money especially is a constant battle for me. But with God's grace, I'll honor him with my attitude.
